Building with AI

Building digital products with AI.

I use AI-assisted development, often called vibe coding, to turn ideas into working digital products: websites, prototypes and early versions of apps. I still start with UX: AI makes it possible to test more ideas faster and spend more time on problem-solving, user needs and product strategy.

My journey

From design files to working products

Figma has been my main design tool since the beginning of my UX career, from wireframes and design systems to high-fidelity UI and prototypes.

ChatGPT was my first AI tool. I use it to make documentation clearer, improve prompts and make sure what I hand over is easy for others to understand. Claude is my newest addition: I use Claude Design and Claude Code to explore, prototype and build.

The best way for me to learn a new tool is to build something real with it. LazyMeals is the clearest example: I designed it and built it myself.

How I use AI

Faster, not instead of design

AI does not replace the design process, but it makes it possible to test more ideas faster.

  1. Explore and validate ideas

Rapidly trying out ideas before committing to one.

  2. Compare design directions

Generating several directions for comparison and inspiration.

  3. Prototype early

Creating early prototypes that people can test.

  4. Build a first version

Getting websites and early versions of web apps working, so ideas can meet real users sooner.

LazyMeals

I designed LazyMeals and built both the app and its multilingual website using AI-assisted development. Early-access sign-ups are open ahead of launch.

Eventscript website

The new Eventscript website is a separate project from the Eventscript platform. I designed and built the whole website myself. It is still a draft and has not launched.

On the Eventscript platform itself, my role is design: I designed it, and the engineering team builds it.
